I find working in real estate endlessly gratifying. Meeting so many interesting people and assisting them to find the perfect home or get a great price for a house they’re selling makes what I do for a living very interesting. Plus, it’s extremely satisfying when I’m sure that I’ve not only met but gone beyond my client’s expectations.
My work in real estate is driven by the following core values: honesty, integrity, hard work, results orientation, good communication, networking and collaboration, persistence, innovation, attention to detail and problem-solver mindset. Here’s how these relate to my customer service philosophy.
Honesty
I am well aware that being an honest and transparent person is essential to build trust with my clients. Purchasing or selling a property are one of the biggest life decisions people can make. Therefore, working with a realtor who is truthful, sincere and transparent is a must. I go out of my way to make sure the people who hire me are fully appraised of the information they need.
Integrity
Closely aligned with being honest is having integrity. This is about understanding what the right thing to do is and making sure that you do it. One’s actions should always be above reproach. I aim to live this philosophy by treating both my customers and colleagues professionally and showing sincere respect.
Hard Work
There’s no two ways about it, being a real estate agent is hard work. Finding your dream home can be a very emotional journey and I believe that my house hunting customers can’t be rushed. They have to be comfortable with their purchase. This involves me showing them as many listings as possible, helping them to narrow down their search, finding answers to any questions they have about a property, advising on an offer and so much more. Hard work is certainly required when selling a property too.
Results Orientation
Due to working hard, I have proven time and again that I can deliver excellent results for my clients. I love the challenge of discovering the unique needs of each buyer and seller I work with and doing my utmost for them. The testimonials I’ve received back up my track record of getting great results.
Good Communication
I know how important it is to communicate clearly and respond to people quickly. The success of a sale may hinge, in part, on effective communication. My customers need to receive information in a manner that they can understand so that they can make educated decisions and ask the right questions. I respect that whether you’re purchasing or selling a home, emotion is involved and people want to make the best personal choices.
Networking and Collaboration
Over my years in real estate, I have built a solid reputation with industry colleagues and experts in related professions across the market place. Leveraging these relationships to meet my client’s needs is a critical aspect of my customer service philosophy.
Persistence
I’m known as a tireless negotiator and use this skillset to persevere until I’ve achieved the best for the people who buy and sell homes with me. Getting a terrific price for a customer who is selling their property or sealing the deal on the purchase of a customer’s dream home makes me very happy.
Innovation
It’s my job to keep an eye on the Calgary real estate market and study emerging trends in the sector. This is something that I take very seriously since continually increasing my awareness is necessary for me to deliver superior results for my clients. My aptitude for innovating extends also to applying technology and research skills.
Attention to Detail
In addition to being well-organized, I strive to pay close attention to the details. This means focusing on what the client’s priorities are and addressing any concerns they have quickly and with compassion for their personal circumstances.
Problem-solver Mindset
There’s no question that working in real estate is an adventure. Unexpected events happen often. My real estate background has taught me to identify issues early, keep my client abreast of any trouble and take action to mitigate or resolve problems. I bring my ability to be strategic to these situations.
In closing
When I think of why I do what I do for a career, the saying “choose a job you love and you’ll never work a day in your life” comes to mind. This quote has been attributed to various people over the ages and I find it very true. I also work in real estate for the sheer joy that it brings me every day. Reach out to me and find out what I have to offer.
